What are the service requirements?
Just like your automobile your golf cart requires regular service for both longest life and operator safety. The frequency of this service depends on your usage but generally an annual service is required.
Exclusive for the gas cart:
- Oil and filter change
- Fuel and air filter change
- Spark plug replacement
- Belt inspection, adjustment or replacement
- Starter brush inspection and output of generator
- Adjust carburetor and inspect fuel lines
- Valve adjustment
Exclusive for the electric cart:
- Test batteries clean and service terminals
- Check speed control system operations
- Check charger operation and output
Additionally both gas and electric carts will require:
- Front suspension inspection, lubrication and alignment
- Brake inspection and adjustment
- Differential fluids check and fill
- Inspection of all hardware and fasteners
- Tire inspection and pressure
If you have your golf cart professional perform an annual service, you can expect the life of your gas golf cart to exceed 25 years and with the electric even more.
